Susan J. Sansom, FNP-C, earned her undergraduate degree at the College of Southern Idaho, where she received her Associate of Nursing, RN. She attended Walden University to obtain her graduate degree in Master of Science Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016. She is attending Duke University to get her Doctorate of Nursing Practice and taking classes to earn a Functional and Integrative Medicine certification. Susan started her journey into nursing in 2008 as a CNA. While working as a CNA, she attended school to receive her Practical Nursing Certification. She worked as an LPN for three years while attending classes to obtain her Associate of Science in Registered Nursing, which she finished in 2012. Her goal was always to start at the bottom and work each job along the way to understand better what each job was capable of and what the requirements were for each position and to have more respect for each role. She uses a combination of Eastern and Western medicine with a strong emphasis on a functional medicine approach to help regulate hormones and weight loss. The goal of functional medicine is to help the patient function better. Her goal is to help improve the community's health, and she strives to be the best for her patients.
